CIB pdf brewer erzeugt als virtueller Drucker kostenlos PDF aus allen Windows-Anwendungen (auch serverfaehig fuer Windows Terminal Server, CITRIX und als Netzwerkdrucker). Funktionen sind unter anderem: Dateigroessen-Optimierung, PDF-Verschluesselung, Schriftarteneinbettung, PDF-Lesezeichen, Wasserzeichen, Briefpapier, CMYK-Unterstuetzung, Hyperlinks und E-Mail-Versand nach der Konvertierung. Fuer Microsoft Office sind eigene Toolbar-Icons zur komfortablen Nutzung installierbar. Der Drucker verfuegt ueber Einstellungen zur Konfiguration des PDF-Erscheinungsbildes beim Öffnen, z.B. Vollbildmodus oder fortlaufende Doppelseite. Über das Kontextmenue des Dateiexplorers kann direkt ins PDF konvertiert werden. Die Software erlaubt das Aneinanderhaengen von bel. PDF-Dokumenten und das Anhaengen weiterer Dateien, z.B. Bilder oder Dokumente. Ausserdem werden die PDF-Versionen 1.3/1.4 unterstuetzt. Die Software bietet detaillierte Speicher-Einstellungen zur Wahl des Speicherortes und des Dateinamens, z.B. automatisierte Nummernvergabe. Fuer unterschiedliche Anwendungen koennen eigene Konvertierungseinstellungen gespeichert werden. Über das Format e.pdf ist eine verlustfreie Wiederbearbeitung von PDF-Dateien in Word moeglich. Nach der Konvertierung koennen bel. Anwendungen, optional mit Parametern, gestartet werden. Aus Word-Formularen koennen direkt und ohne Nachbearbeitung PDF-Formulare erzeugt werden. Die Software ermoeglicht Langzeitarchivierung mit dem Ausgabeformat PDF/A-1b. CAD-Programme und SAP werden optimal unterstuetzt. Eine API ist fuer Entwickler verfuegbar.

Some important features among others are: file size optimization, PDF encryption, fontembedding, PDF bookmarks, watermarks, stationery support, cmyk, hyperlinks and e-mail delivery after the conversion. Separate toolbar icons for easily use within Microsoft Office are installable. The printer provides settings to configure the PDF appearance when opening, e.g. full-screen mode or continuous double page. Using the context menu of the file explorer files can be directly converted to PDF. The software allows joining of PDF documents and PDF attachments like images or other documents. In addition the PDF versions 1.3/1.4 are supported. The software provides detailed memory settings for choosing the location and file name, e.g. automated number assignment. The printer allows saving of different conversion settings for each application. The format e.pdf enables lossless re-editing of PDF files in Word. After the conversion any application can be started, optionally with parameters. Word forms can be directly converted to PDF forms without post-processing. The software enables long-term archiving with the output format PDF/A-1b. CAD programs and SAP are supported optimum. An API is available for developers.
